I made it to Nice, and it feels like a vacation!! Haha, not completely, but close! It is so beautiful here with all the green. All the buildings are colorful, and the ocean is blue blue BLUE!!! Anyways, it was sad to say goodbye to Bordeuax and all the wonderful people there. So many goodbyes!! And it was hot that week, so I got my first sunburn of the year! Woot woot!! Then on Saturday I spent all day traveling to Nice. Sunday was a lot of fun, and I got to play the piano for sacrament which was a great way to hop right in. I met a few amis at church and they are all amazing! The ward is also so nice! They must be so nice cause their in Nice! Hehe
For P day we walked along the beach, then hiked up to these ruins where a castle used to be, had a beautiful view of the ocean, and ate a nice sandwich. Bonus! It wasn't hot and I didn't get sunburned! Once we were done and heading towards the church we got lost. So we asked a lady where we could find the bus stop and instead of answering the question she told us she was a member! She is less active, but she was so happy to talk to us. As we were talking she told us we were Super Women for serving missions. Anyways, she didn't know where it was so she wandered around with us and asked some people where the bus stop was. She asked this old lady and we all started talking. The lady said she was somewhere in her 90's and the less active quickly curtsied and said, "oh queen Elizabeth! " hahaha we died. Overall Nice is great and I am so happy to be here! My new companion is Soeur Ortiz and she is from Mexico, and now lives in Flordia. She is super cool and I am so so excited for this transfer together! Have a wonderful week! - Soeur Glazier

That is some of the Tahitian that I have learned this transfer. It means hello!! Hehe! What a week!! Actually the beginning was very slow because I was still a little sick, so I had to rest a lot. But after Wednesday we were back at it! At the beginning of the week we got a referral from the Soeurs in Toulouse. They said a less active in their ward had moved into our area and was willing to meet with us. They told us she was really nice, so we were really excited! We called the number, and we realized that it was not a woman. We ended up setting a rendez vous with the person, and it was definitely a man and it was a very strange lesson. He would randomly say " Yee On " and laugh. We don't know why he found Soeur Yee Ons name so fun to say. Soeur Yee On also taught me and an ami some Tahitian dancing. We got to wear the skirts and listen to Tahitian music. It was a lot of fun! I feel like a spent the week in Tahiti. But that won't be happening for much longer because I am leaving the beautiful city of Bordeaux and I am going to Nice!! I am so excited!! It is going to be so hot, but it will be fun to be by the beach. So maybe it will feel more like Tahiti than it did this week! Nothing too different happened. Just some great lessons and we got to do some gardening! So have a wonderful week and the next time I will be writing, I will be in Nice!! - Soeur Glazier One of the primary kids in the ward came up to us and said we were Moana and Rapunzel. We were pretty happy! This week was a complete roller coaster, which means there was a lot of good things!
We had some great lesson this week where the spirit was strong. One of them was a lesson with the Albanian family. We had a lesson with them with the sisters from Albania. We were there for the lesson, but we were not understanding any of it besides a few words. It seemed like it went well. After we were talking with the mom and she said it was really good. And out of no where she said, "baptême. Anila, Behar Mai 5" (baptism may 5th). Soeur Yee On and I froze. We were so excited!! So they are now preparing to be baptized May 5th. We have tried to help them get ready for baptism, but something always went wrong. But they are ready now and they are so excited! We also met with a new ami named D.... He asked a lot of good questions that we were able to answer with the restoration. It went really well. After we were heading back to the church for another lesson but I was not feeling well. I kept coughing and my head was so warm. We got to the church and waited for a bit and I just felt terrible. After waiting for a bit I eventually told Soeur Yee On that we had to go back to the apartment. After our long trip we took my temperature and it was really high. So we had to call it a day and I slept. That Sunday we had to stay in again as I was still not feeling well. It was sad to miss church but I got a lot of rest which really helped. I'm still not doing very well, but I am hoping that I will be back at it tomorrow :) We also had district meeting this week, all the Soeurs took some lovely family photos for you to enjoy :) Have a wonderful week!! - Soeur Glazier What a wonderful weekend with General Conference and Easter! There is a very musically talented family in our ward, and they put on a concert for Easter. Throughout the week Soeur Yee On and I were trying to invite everyone we could. After all the calls, texts, and giving out flyers, we ended up having 5 amis come! And one of them even brought her daughter! The concert was amazing and it was all focused on the life of the Savior, and ended with song about how He was resurrected and that He lives. The spirit was there and I felt so happy that our investigators were able to experience it too! To top the weekend off, General Conference was amazing! It was my first time watching it all in French, and it was actually really cool. When I watched it in French I was focusing on what the spirit was telling me and not so much of what the speaker was saying. It was a great experience and I got a lot of answers to my questions. We also had zone conference this week. We focused on the convincing power of the Book of Mormon, the Holy Ghost, our testimonies, and a blessing that Elder Christofferson gave our mission. It was really good, and I learned a lot about what I need to do to teach with that convincing power. Besides that, we had a good week of finding, teaching, and doing what missionaries do. Nothing incredibly funny happened this week, but I did see a crow eating a dead rat... anyways have a great week!! - Soeur Glazier Exchanges with Soeur Bybee. Translation: Still Here Zone Conference
