Us with one of the members. Somehow I have been on the mission for 6 months. I have no idea how it happened, but wahoo! This week has been a little sad. Everyone is on vacation here, so we haven't been able to meet with our amis. And when we walk through the streets it feels like no one is around. It has been kind of weird. But on the 14th of July France had their Independence day. There was a huge firework show at the Bastille and there was also a huge party. Sadly, our apartment doesn't face the Bastille so we didn't get to watch the firework show. But we could hear it and we could see the flash, so it sounded good. Big party for France! This week we had an awesome lesson with our amis R.... We had a member come and help us which made it even better! We had planned on teaching the plan of salvation, but he told us that he didn't read the Book of Mormon or pray. So we threw our plans out the window and pulled out the Book of Mormon. We turned to Moroni 10:3-5 and talked about how he can receive an answer if he asks sincerely with real intent. Then we, along with the member, bore our testimonies about the Book of Mormon and that we knew he would receive an answer if he would follow Moroni's promise. The Spirit was so strong and I knew he could receive an answer. Bearing testimony is so powerful. I have learned how important it is to bear testimony. When I don't know an answer or I don't know what to say or I just feel like hearing my testimony, the spirit comes in. I just hope and pray that the people can feel the spirit as well and choose to act on it. Funny story time! So we were trying to call a potential, C..., to set a rendezvous, but every time we called he said no and would hang up. We were so confused because we had just talked to him in person and he told us to call him. So we decide to wait and call him the next day and the same thing happens. We are so confused and sad and then we get this text from him saying, "I'm not C..., I'm so an so". Boy was that a relief! But I was so embarrassed, haha. We finally got the right number and sent a rendezvous! There is this little library book drop off thing in Grenoble, so we decided to get a Book of Mormon, write our testimony in it and then drop it off. It was fun and I hope it can bless someone's life like it has blessed mine! I know the Book of Mormon is true and that it is the word of God. I know that as people read it, they can receive an answer that it is true through the Holy Ghost. I love the Book of Mormon! It has changed my life and I know it can change the life's of the people here in France! Love you all! - Soeur Glazier Pain au chocolat. My favorite and Soeur Perry's first!
