Hello hello!! This week we were busy busy bees. We were running everywhere and we were getting lost everywhere! We would go to an appointment and then have to go to another one and we would get lost, and that repeated over and over again. But it's ok, because now I know my area even better! While we were lost we even found an actual !Mexican restaurant! We visited a family we are teaching named the Clé.... and they taught us how to make these yummy treats from Brazil. They are these chocolate balls made with condensed milk, chocolate and sprinkles. I have no idea how to spell it, so just know that it is really good! Speaking of the family Clé..., they are really cool. They have been seeing the missionaries for about a year now. We were talking with her as we were making the treats and she told us that they had no desire to be baptized and they had no desire to go to the temple. That was rough, because we couldn't figure out why they didn't have that desire. They are doing everything that they have been invited to do, but to be baptized. After the lesson, Soeur Ortiz and I were talking and trying to figure out what we could do. Sunday rolled along and as usual they came to church. But this Sunday was not like any other Sunday for them. After church they were telling us how they came with some questions, and all the talks that were given were answers to their questions. The dad said, "I finally have a testimony". It was so cool! As missionaries we can do everything we can, but all we can do is invite and help. Since the Clé... met the missionaries, the missionaries were doing everything they could to help them, but the Clé... had to find out for themselves and work for it. Such a cool experience, and we are excited to help them to continue to work towards baptism.
Last Sunday we decided to fast with one of our amis who missed her baptismal date because of the law of chastity. Her ex husband was still living there and he was having a really hard time finding another apartment, so we all decided to fast together. During the week we get a call from her that he left. It was so cool to see the power of fasting, so we are going to help her get ready for baptism! Overall things are going super well and I am so happy! We had a very stressful week, but I have found so much peace through studying the scriptures and coming to church to partake of the sacrament. Hope you all have another wonderful week!! - Soeur Glazier
