We had to get food for the Christmas Conference and put it all in our car. So much!!! Today we had our Christmas conference and it was so much fun!! One of the activities we had was taking bags of candy with a candle and our card out to people. We had to give one to a man, a woman, a girl with a scarf, someone on wheels, and we had to go to someone's door. So it was me and Soeur Tway and two other Soeurs. I was so excited, but I was really surprised at how many people said no to our little gift. It was getting a little discouraging, but we met a lot of people who were very touched by our gift. Eventually we had one bag left that I had to give out. I was trying to talk to everyone I saw, but they all said no. We had to get back to church so we decided to say a prayer that we would be able to find someone who would except our gift. Right after we said amen, this lady walked around the corner and we were all saying, "it's her!!" Luckily it was a red light and no one was behind us, so I jumped out of the car and ran to her and asked her if I could give her this gift. She was so touched and so happy! It was so sweet to see the change in her face from a little gift. One of the highlights this week was that our amie V... came to church for the first time! She came a while before us so we ran to church trying to find her, and she was already talking to members and they were all introducing themselves. After sacrament we asked her what she thought and she said she really liked it and felt something special. Later in gospel principles she told the people in the class how touched she was by everyone's kindness when she first came. I felt so much love for the ward. I felt so happy to be at church with her. Just the little moments when people progress brings me so much joy. The mission is amazing, but I have had so many hard times. So many times where I have had to fall onto my knees and cry unto the Lord. And sometimes I don't get the answer right away. I think I have more hard days than good days, but even though the good days are few, they outweigh all the bad. I honestly don't remember all the hard times, but I do remember all the times the Lord has blessed me. Count your many blessings, name them one by one! Cause they are there! -Soeur Glazier A funny bumper sticker we saw while driving around.
