What a crazy week it has been once again! We had some ups and downs but overall it was great! Soeur Driggs and I set a goal to find some new amis, so we set some time to go knocking on doors. We looked at our map and picked a place. We drove there and started to knock on doors....well ring the door bells of the gates. Everyone was saying no, but we kept going. Eventually we got to this one house and again they said no. But it was an older couple and they saw that we were dying of heat so they invited us to come in and get a drink. So we went in and started to talk with the wife. She said she didn't want to talk about religion and that they didn't believe so we talked about other stuff. Soon we got on the topic of families and ancestors. So we told her about Family Search and she got excited about it. She told us that she believes that doing genealogy is really important. We were thinking, YES! So we gave her a pamphlet on families and temples which gives some space to fill in a family tree. She than asked us where our ancestors were from. I told her that I had some from Bern Switzerland and she got so excited and she brought her husband into the room. Apparently he is from Bern, so I showed them my family tree and the family that is from Bern. He said the names looked familiar. So they ended up inviting us to come back over to go over family history and help them start an account for Family Search! It was so cool! Another crazy thing happened! We went to our car to go to an appointment that morning and we found a note. Just so you know, French handwriting is so hard to read! It is not the same as American handwriting. It honestly looked like a doctor wrote it. So we decided we would show the less active we were going to see and have her read it to us. So we did and apparently it said that something happened to our door. So we all go out to our car and we see this dent in our door. Apparently when he was backing out he hit our car, and somehow we didn't even see it! I don't know how long it would have taken us to actually realize there was a dent in our car. Anyways, we set a time to visit with him and to fill out the paper work. We go and he was so nice and he helped us fill everything out. Most of the time we were talking with his wife. She asked us a lot of questions about the church which was really cool. I don't think him hitting our car was a coincidence. On Saturday we had sports with the Val de Saône and Ecully Wards. We invited members and amis and we played soccer. It was so much fun! We met a lot of cool people and even invited people already there to play with us. We than visited a family that we are teaching. It has been so cool to teach a family. When we teach them I can't help but think how cool it would be to see them sealed together in the temple. With all the crazy stuff, one of our amis dropped us this week. It was the first time that has happened to me and it was so much harder than I thought it was going to be. I have dropped people but no one has actually said I don't want you to come anymore. I was only able to meet with her once, but I felt so down about it. Everyone has there agency and I have had to accept that. We do the very best we can and that is all we can do. But I hope she will want to learn more in the future! Love you all! - Soeur Glazier F R A N C E ! ! ! She is reading my energy. She said I have good energy. :)
